Sandals Renovation Status

Sandals Montego Bay - Currently, final construction phase of the new beach grill and pizzeria located in the beach area in front of the Palms building, building erected and kitchen interior phase in progress. Flat screen TV's currently being added to rooms, Almond building rooms retrofit in progress as rooms free up. Fitness Center now fully air conditioned. 2009 added Catamaran cruise, Cricketers Pint which is an English pub, and did some room furnishing upgrades. Major upgrades completed in 2005-06.

Sandals Inn - Major room and resort enhancement performed end of 2008 and completed early 2009. Name has been changed to Sandals Carlyle Inn.

Sandals Royal Caribbean - New for 2011, Bamboo Shack serves lunch on offsore island, Mariners Beach Grill was renovated & offers table service. During 2009, the River Suites in the St James building, Buckingham and Clarence blocks were all completed. Some enhancements were added to the private island including the Irie Grill Restaurant for lunch. Air conditioning was added to the gym and aerobics center. Some additional outdoor spa treatment locations were added. "Over the Ocean" suites being considered for the future.

Sandals Negril - New for 2011, Dinos Italian Restaurant (formely the 4C's Restaurant, Pizzeria Bella Napoli. 2009 new oceanfront River Suites were completed, add loft suites, and rooms with private pools.

Sandals Whitehouse - 2009 general renovations, room/furnishing upgrades, landscaping upgrades completed..

Sandals Dunn's River - Closed July 31, 2010.

Sandals Grande Riviera  - 2011 Beach club now completed along with additional restaurants Neptune's Restaurant, Dino's Pizzeria, Gordon's Restaurant (Butler service guests), Kimono's Restaurant, Soy Restaurant. Resort name changed to Sandals Grande Riviera (previously Sandals Grande Ocho Rios). Bamboo Grove and Garden Cottage rooms completely renovated. 2009, Riviera lobby area was redone along with the meeting facilities. A duty-free jewelry store was added. A new Concierge Lounge was added in the Manor Building. Jaime's Sports Bar on the beach was refurbished.

Sandals Royal Plantation - 2011 Previously Royal Plantation is now under the Sandals brand, Beautiful Beginnings theme wedding by Martha Stewart is now free (previously $1,000), new Wobbly Peacock Pub.

Sandals Royal Bahamian - 2012  renovations to the Bamoral Building  (previously Manor building) to add balconies/patios to all remaining rooms are completed, light work still in progess. 2009, the mainland beach was expanded and is in much better shape.

Sandals Antigua - 2011 Frangipani, Plamboyant & Oleander room blocks fully renovated. 2009 a duty-free jewelry store was added. New Mediterranean Village now completed along with the 1BR villas with private pools. Casino is now open directly next door.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian - 2011 Toscanini's Restaurant fully renovated. Future plans include expansion including a "Greek Village" section which will feature an expansive river suite complex. In addition, "Over the Ocean" suites are being considered.

Sandals La Toc - (previously Sandals Regency) 2009 new pizzeria was added, Cricketers Pub was added, renovations to several of the villa suite categories. Exclusive Butler guest lounge was added. 4 Million Dollar Suites are now completed. These luxury suites are very private, include pool/whirlpool, and feature panoramic views overlooking the ocean.

Sandals Halcyon - 6/5/11 Choiseul (bldg 7), Laborie (bldg 8), Micoud (bldg 10), Dennery (bldg 11) renovations completed - these 4 buildings had room size extended and now largest and most updated rooms in the resort.  Refurbishments (flat screen TV, decor, and reset air conditioners all completed except for Rooms #107-110 in category HB (Honeymoon Beachfront Walkout Room) and the entire GB category (Grande Luxe Beachfront Walkout Room). The fitness center has been enclosed along with air conditioning. 3/23/10 All rotational room upgrades completed except for some remaining beachfront rooms, upgrading couple of rooms at a time with no disturbance to guests (light upgrades include painting and furnishing upgrades, etc). Rotational room upgrades during 2009 included all Deluxe and Premium Categories completely redone.
