The newest Sandals beachfront resort built during 2004 and located in a remote area on Jamaica's southern shore. Stretched over 50 acres, Whitehouse provides ample breathing room, never feels over crowded, and includes a 2 mile stretch of magnificent beach. A very successful resort, Whitehouse was designed to maximize Sandal's winning formula of quality service, fine dining, luxurious accommodations, and a relaxed romantic atmosphere. The result is very high marks in all categories and the resort provides exceptional value on the dollar. Contributing to the resort value, a unique characteristic of Whitehouse is that all rooms/suites have views of the ocean. Resulting is the fact that Whitehouse has the least expensive beachfront rooms within the Sandals brand.

Location - Southern shore approx 1.5 hours from the Montego Bay Sangster Intl Airport (MBJ). Resort is located near small fishing villages with no other resorts in the area. The road from the airport is scenic as it cuts from the north to the south winding through the mountains and villages. The road is bumpy at times and we encourage our customers to enjoy the ride as it is all part of the journey and Jamaican experience.

Atmosphere - Guests can enjoy any type of vacation that they wish at Whitehouse - from quiet relaxation to socially active and everything else in between. Everything about this resort is superior including the service, entertainment, and facilities. The resort has somewhat developed into the Sandals brand centerpiece as it tends to be the host resort to various promotions as well as show broadcasts, but without becoming overly commercialized or losing its original appeals.

Layout & design - Less then 10 years old, the resort has a modern design and infrastructure. At the core of the resort is a Venetian style Piazza, an Italian style plaza, which includes many of the restaurants and serves as one of the focal points for the nightly entertainment. Neaby the Piazza is the main pool and watersports area. With total of 360 rooms/suites, accommodations are split into 3 areas stretching along the beach with differing distances to the core resort area - Italian, Dutch, and French Villages. All buildings have elevators and the property grounds are spread out and flat. Although basically a beach resort, the property grounds features manicured gardens thru the walkways along with a mountain backdrop.

Dining
Sandals Whitehouse features seven restaurants. Reservations not required at any of the restaurants.

The Bayside (International) - Primary restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Breakfast 7:30-10am (buffet & made-to-order). Lunch 12:30-2:30pm (buffet & made-to-order), dinner 6:30-9:30pm (a la carte), late night snacks 10:30pm-5am. Resort casual, non-smoking.

Giuseppe's (Italian) - Indoor air-conditioned setting and patio piazza seating. Enjoy pasta dishes, pizzas, and antipasta bar. Lunch 3-5pm resort casual, dinner 6:30-10:30pm resort evening attire. Non-smoking. 

Jasmine's (Asian) - Exotic orient and flavors of the east. Indoor air-conditioned. Dinner 6-9:30pm, resort evening attire, non-smoking.

Cafe de Paris (Patisserie) - Pastries, crepes, coffees, and desserts. Resort casual, open 5:30am-11pm.

Eleanor's (Caribbean) - Enjoy dinner with white-glove service in air-conditioned plantation setting. Breakfast a la carte 8-11am, dinner 6-9:30pm resort evening attire, non-smoking.

Bluefield Beach Club (Jamaican) - Traditional Jamaican dishes such as jerk chicken in casual open air setting overlooking the ocean. Lunch 11am-6pm, no dress code.

Neptunes - (Mediterranean) - Enjoy casual European eleganceover in open air setting looking the beach. Lunch 12-3pm, dinner 6-10pm, resort evening attire for dinner.

Activities
4 freshwater pools and 3 whirlpools including 12,465 sq ft Sunset Pool, French Village Pool (6,341 sq ft), Dutch Village Pool (5,039 sq ft), and a dedicated scuba training pool. The beach stretches 2 miles and regarded as one of the best beaches in Jamaica. Red Lane Spa (additional cost) featuring full array of services. Air-conditioned and fully equipped fitness center. Scuba dive & snorkeling boats, glass bottom boat, and full range of water sports. PADI Gold Palm Dive Resort with full scuba international and resort certifications available at additional cost. 4 day/night tennis courts, and other land activities available such as beach volleyball, squash courts, and pool tables. Accommodations
Sandals Whitehouse accommodations are split into 3 resort villages - Italian, Dutch, and French Villages. Each village contains a cluster of modern 4-story buildings all facing the ocean along with its own beach stretches. All buildings contain elevators and all rooms/suites are outside entrance design. The 3 villages are aligned next to the resort center with the Italian Village being the closest. The Italian village is right next to the main resort pool and has the shortest walk to the restaurants and main resort area.

The middle village is the Dutch Village which is also the most quiet village. The Dutch Village has its own oceanfront pool and whirlpool which features a relaxing atmosphere with low volume soothing background music. Just in front of the pool is a beach stretch and small convenient beach bar.

The furthest village is the Italian Village which is considered the liveliest village. Having its own pool, swim-up bar, and a the Bluefield Beach Club restaurant, you will experience a more active pool area along with a lively caribbean music atmosphere.  The Frech Village has no suite categories or concierge/butler services and involves a 5-10 minute walk to the resort center.

There are 3 room types - standard, suite, and 1br suites. All rooms/suites are luxuriously furnished with mahogany 4-poster king size bed and include sitting area with couch and table. Suites contain larger bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, separate walk-in shower, and double vanity. The 1br suites also include a separate bedroom.

All rooms/suites have a terrace or patio overlooking the ocean. Terraces/patios have 2 chairs and a small table. Corner units have 2 directional views and are available by request only. 1BR suites have larger balconies. 

All rooms/suites have stocked refrigerator with juices, water, and soft drinks, WIFI service ($). Concierge level rooms/suites include concierge check-in and service along with a fully stocked complimentary in-room bar. In addition to Concierge service, the 1BR suites also have Butler and room service.

Other factor determining room category is type of view and proximity to the resort center. Deluxe category rooms are the least expensive and located only in the French Village. In general, the higher level categories are located in the upper floors due to the superior views. Specific village location and floor placement requests are honored based on availability.
