Sandals Grande St. Lucian resort is the most luxurious and generally the most expensive of the three Sandals St. Lucia resorts. It is also usually described as the most traditional of the 3 resorts with an expansive lobby and surrounding restaurants. Most of the resort facilities and room/suites can be reached from the internal hallway corridors. This is opposed to both the Regency and Halcyon resorts where outside walking is usually involved to reach your destination. The Grande St. Lucian, built in 2000, is also one of the newest of all the Sandals resorts. It is surrounded by the Caribbean Ocean on one side and the beach leading into Rodney Bay on the other side. Constructed on a man-made peninsula, the resort borders a national park including historic Fort Rodney and is surrounded by natural beauty including the picturesque Rodney Bay and spectacular mountain views.

The Grande St. Lucian is home to arguably the most prestigious suite of all the Sandals Resorts: the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Suite, a luxurious 2BR suite with panoramic views of both the Caribbean Ocean side and Rodney Bay. The resort is also home to a series of Rondoval suites featuring private pools and whirlpools. The first row of Rondovals is considered beachfront with impressive views, although actual beach access is through the path that all Rondoval guests use. 2 more luxury 1 BR suites are available including the Prime Minister and Honeymoon Suites - both of these 1BR suites feature 2 full bathrooms and a separate whirlpool. The above 5 categories all include butler service. Concierge level rooms include the magnificent lagoon swim-up rooms, the Penthouse Honeymoon Beachfront facing the beach and Rodney Bay, and the Penthouse Oceanfront facing the quieter ocean side. All concierge category and butler service rooms/suites also include room service. There are 6 standard service room categories available which are all identical in design but offer varying views of the resort areas. All rooms have a patio or balcony.

The resort's main restaurant is the Bayside which serves all meals including a buffet breakfast. Toscanini's is an elegant white-gloved service Italian restaurant. Josephine's is a French Creperie located poolside. Barefoot By The Sea is a casual location on the beach serving Caribbean cuisine. Olde London Pub is an English Pub serving traditional pub cuisine. Gordon's is located out on the beachside pier and is included as part of the butler category package offering cuisine of the Sun and the Sea, available to other guests for extra charge.

The Grande St. Lucian has a full service Red Lane Spa, fitness center, and a scuba certification facilities with a dive pool. Full range of watersports, day/night tennis, and golf at the nearby Sandals Regency are included. Full range of nightly entertainment is offered including live shows, performances, and beach/theme parties. Also on property is a ballroom to host group functions. The resort has large pools, relaxing whirlpools, and an attractive beach overlooking Rodney Bay.
