Sandals Negril is known for its world-class beach, located along the famous Negril Jamaica 7-mile Beach. As the focal point of the resort, all rooms/suites are either beachfront or in very close proximity. As the resort is characterized by its very laid-back atmosphere, guests enjoy the easy going spirit framed within the refined Sandals luxury and gourmet dining. At Sandals Negril, guests can also enjoy outside activities from entertaining local activities and nightlife to fun Jamaican excursions. Located on the western coast of Jamaica, Negril guests enjoy some of the best sunsets in the Caribbean. Excellent service contributes to making this attractive intimate beachfront resort one of the top Sandals destinations.

The top line suite category accommodations are the beachfront swim-up river suites. The swim-up suites, which opened during 2008, rank right along the swim-ups at the St. Lucia Grande resort. But as opposed to the Grande, the Negril swim-up pool is situated beachfront featuring remarkable Negril beach views. Also available, private plunge pool suites, romantic 2-story loft suites, and private whirlpool suites give this resort some of the best accommodation options within the Sandals brand. All suite categories offer butler, concierge, and room service. Two beachfront room categories are also available offering concierge and room service, but no butler service. 3 other categories exist offering standard service with garden views: Seaside Luxury all offer improved garden view along with balcony, patio, or sitting area, Seaside Premium have some with patio or balcony, and the least expensive Deluxe rooms have no patio or balcony.

The Bayside has Intl menu and is the main restaurant serving all meals featuring live entertainment. The popular oriental cuisine Kimonos has a location at Sandals Negril. Directly on the beach almost at water edge is the 4C's, a romantic spot featuring Italian cuisine. Another resort casual beach top offering is Barefoot by the Sea with a seafood menu. The Sundowner is the resort's white-glove service restaurant and features Jamaican cuisine. Sandals Café is a beachfront grill serving lunch and snacks throughout the day and into the evening.

The resort features the full line of nightly entertainment including performances, beach and theme parties. Standard water sports are included with some additional options such as jet skis available for additional charge. Along with a full service spa, fitness center, the resort's sports complex features day/night tennis courts along with indoor squash and racquetball courts.

Sandals Negril intimacy is reflected by its relatively smaller size set along the very scenic beach. Couples come to Sandals Negril to enjoy its world-class beach, laid back atmosphere, superb suites, fabulous sunsets, accommodations within steps to the beach, friendly service, and area nightlife options.

Notes:
Sandals Negril is a beach destination - the pools and pool decks are fairly small. Although having a scenic beach, the beach itself is rather faily thin compared to some of the other resorts including its sister resort, the family focused Beaches Negril.

The Honeymoon Penthouse Beachfront One Bedroom Crystal Lagoon Suites are 2nd floor units overlooking the Crystal Laggon Pool, but do not have direct access to the pool. The Crystal Lagoon Suites (1st and 2nd floor of Sundowner block) are large (676 sq feet) and spectacular suites featuring a sitting area, 2 plasma tv's, whirlpool baths, and walk-in showers.

The Millionaire Honeymoon One Bedroom Suite with Whirlpool and Private Plunge Pool are perhaps our favorite accommodation at the resort - large living area with separate bedroom, 2 flat screen TV's, whirlpool tub, and walk-in shower. But what makes this suite unique is the private garden courtyard with a faily large plunge pool, outdoor shower, whirlpool, and all enclosed with a privacy wall. These are located in the Plantation Suite Building located at a quiter end of the resort.

For those looking for a room close to beach edge with direct access from your patio, the rooms closest to the beach at the resort are the Honeymoon Concierge Beachfront Walkout Room. In fact, located almost on the beach, they are probably the closest rooms to the beach among all the Sandals Resorts rivaled only by some of the Bay Roc Villas at Montego Bay. No whirlpool tub, but the rooms do feature 32' plasma TV along with Concierge Service and the in-room bar.

For those who enjoy multi-floor suites with sprial staircase, the Honeymoon Beachfront One Bedroom Loft Suites offer a unique accommodation not found in any other Sandals Resort.

Sandals Negril does a great job with entertainment featuring a resort player cast as well as bringing in talent from around the islands. Regular schedule of beach and theme parties make Sandals Negril a fun destination. At the same time, the resort maintains a perfect atmosphere balanced to promote a Jamaican laid back atmosphere.
